Bolton

If travelling by train then the station you want for the Reebok is Horwich Parkway, not Bolton.

If driving over then you should avoid the big car park at the ground. Not only is it expensive, but you could have to wait ages to get out after the game. There are numerous cheaper car parks in the surrounding industrial estates, particularly down Lostock Lane. If you arrive reasonably early then you can park at the Bromilow Arms. Whenever we've been there in the past this has been free, but I can't promise that that's still the case. If you do park here or elsewhere on Lostock Lane then you'll avoid the worst of the traffic after the game by heading down Lostock Lane and then turning left along Wingates Lane. Another couple of lefts will bring you to junction 5 of the M61. This route is shown on the pub map below. One other parking option is the Beehive pub. It costs a fiver, but you get this back if you spend more than a fiver at the bar.

Pubs
The only place to drink is
the Bromilow Arms. It may be a 15 minute walk from the ground, but the Bromilow is a real football pub, with loads of memorabilia all over the walls (and ceilings!), and there's no problem with wearing colours. Plus they do cheap, no-frills food, the beer's decent, and the service is pretty good even when it's chocka. There are one or two other pubs around the ground:
- Barnstormers (also on Lostock Lane, but nearer to the ground than the Bromilow)
- Beehive
- Horwich Park Inn (strictly home fans only)
All these pubs are marked on the pub map below.
